This is a guide on how to download form one admission letter online. This has been made possible by the tremendous steps taken by the government of Kenya towards digitization. The forms are accessed online and printed as opposed to earlier days when they were sent by post. The process is simple and takes a short time when the portal is okay.
Requirements for Downloading the Form One Admission Letter
- KCPE index number of the student.
- County where the student sat for the KCPE exam.
- Sub-county of the same above.
How to Download the Form One Admission Letter
- Access the form one selection portal.
- Click on the link provided depending on where your child has been selected. This is National, Extra County and County School. If you are not sure which link to click, do not worry. You can do some guessing. If you get an error message, ‘not a national school, or not a sub-county school’, etc., then you are in the wrong category.
- Select the county and sub-county where your child sat for the KCPE exam.
- Input the index number and click submit. Wait for the results to be displayed.
- If the records are found, the results will be displayed on the screen.
- Below the results, you will find a link to download the form one admission letter.
- Click on the link to download the letter. Make sure you sign out from any Gmail account before clicking on the download link.
- On the download page, click on file option and you can either download the letter or click on the print option.
- Take the letter to your primary school for the headteacher to endorse the letter and stamp it in the space provided.
- Present it for admission to the school you have been selected together with a certified copy of the birth certificate.

To check your KCPE Results by SMS send an SMS with your Index Number and the word KCPE in capital letters i.e (XXXXXXXXX KCPE) to 20076 using any mobile network.

You can check the school your child has been selected to join by sending an SMS to 22263 using any mobile network.
Form One Transfer Letter
You can use this option to download the form one transfer letter. This will be available once you have gone through all the necessary transfer process.
